As if the Pixel Watch debut hadn’t already been spoiled by leaks, a new set of photographs provided with Slashleaks by reliable leaker OnLeaks (via 9to5Google) reveal the smartwatch in even more detail only days before Google’s launch event. This builds on what we saw in a brief Google commercial last week, which revealed a variety of band designs, various watch faces, and some other capabilities the watch may have.
To begin, the Pixel Watch might come with silicone bands in black, white, dark gray, and silver, as well as three braided alternatives in orange, green, and black. Google also appears to be preparing two distinct leather band styles, including a sleek combination in orange, black, and silver and a more rugged-looking pair in black and green.
The photographs also show a variety of watch styles, including a simple minute and hour hand with the user’s heart rate, a minimalist style that spells out the time (which, in my opinion, is sort of unhelpful), and a more decorative choice with a landscape design. There’s also a gallery of photographs showcasing other Pixel Watch capabilities including Fitbit integration, Google Fast Pair compatibility, emergency dialing, and ECG reading.
Some of these photographs could have come from an Amazon listing for the Pixel Watch that appeared briefly in Germany. SmartDroid, a German tech site, captured a screenshot of the listing (and purportedly managed to make a preorder), but it looks to have been removed. According to SmartDroid, the Pixel Watch could include the Google Home app, 5ATM water resistance, a Corning Gorilla Glass display, and a free six-month Fitbit Premium trial.
The item is also priced at 356.76 euros (about $349 USD) according to the listing. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to find out if these reports are accurate, as the Google Pixel launch event is scheduled for Thursday, October 6th.
