Google’s fall launch event is slated for Thursday, October 6th, at 10 a.m. ET, bringing us even closer to the release of the Pixel 7 phone and Pixel Watch.
While we know what to expect, Google may have a few surprises in store. Here’s what we’re looking forward to at the Google Pixel event.
The Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will receive incremental updates
A Pixel launch event would be incomplete without a new generation of Pixel devices. We’ll see what Google has in store for the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, which were teased briefly during Google I/O in May.
Google showed us renders of the devices, which each have an aluminum camera bar and the improved Tensor G2 CPU (more on that later). The Pixel 7 Pro has two cutouts for its three cameras, whilst the Pixel 7 comes with just one for its two cameras.
We don’t expect too many changes in camera specs, since the Pixel 7 is expected to have the same 50MP primary sensor as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. However, both the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro could be equipped with an enhanced 11MP front-facing camera, which the Pixel 6 Pro already possesses.
The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are expected to cost the same as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro when they launch. Artem Russakovskii, founder of Android Police, tweeted the probable prices for both devices, which may be $599 for the Pixel 7 and $899 for the Pixel 7 Pro.
From a source I trust 💯, here comes Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro US pricing, according to current data in Target’s systems.

Google’s first Pixel smartwatch is being released
The debut of Google’s new Pixel Watch is arguably one of the most anticipated things to come out of the company’s upcoming event. Although Google formally introduced the watch at I/O, speculations about the device had been circulating for months before to the event.
So far, we know that the Pixel Watch will have a circular dome-style watchface, a tactile crown, a side button, and a proprietary band that can be swapped out for different styles. It will also have a “enhanced” version of Wear OS 3 with native Google apps such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Wallet, and Google Home. With the watch’s new Fitbit integration, you can monitor and track health metrics such as heart rate, sleep tracking, and Active Zone Minutes.
In a batch of leaked photographs provided by Slashleaks, we also got a look at the smartwatch’s bands as well as potential watchface alternatives. The watch appears to be equipped with silicone bands in black, white, dark gray, and light gray, as well as colorful braided versions in red, black, and green.
There are two leather band types available: a sleek leather choice in black, orange, and silver, and a more rugged version in black and dark green. Meanwhile, the watch might come in three different colors: black, silver, and gold.
A more powerful Tensor G2 processor
Last year, Google unveiled its first in-house Tensor chip, which debuted on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. With the debut of the Pixel 7, the company is set to disclose the second generation of the chip, and some speculations have already given us an indication of what to expect in terms of performance.
We will have a Google pixel tablet as well?
Google teased the Pixel tablet earlier this year at I/O, and it was underwhelming. We know it will run Android, but Google did not reveal any additional details about the tablet at I/O.
If Google does provide a deeper look at the Pixel tablet and discloses a Pro variant, the device may not even be available by the end of the year. Google stated at I/O that the tablet will be available in 2023.
Nest devices what about them?
The event will not only feature Pixel gadgets, but also new smart home technology. For starters, we anticipate a “Pro” version of Google’s Nest Wi-Fi router. We might also see a new wired Nest doorbell.
