Google is about to provide Workspace Individual members with significantly more storage. According to the firm, every account will soon be updated from 15GB to 1TB of storage, which means that individuals on that tier will be able to store a lot more than previously.
Google Workspace Individual was introduced in July 2021 as a means for one-person firms to take advantage of some of the company’s more premium Workspace features without having to pay for higher-priced solutions geared for larger enterprises.
While additional storage makes it easier to store more documents and assets, it also means that consumers may have a lot more stuff to move if they ever wish to shift items from Google to another platform. That might make switching more difficult, which is probably what Google wants as it builds up its plan to destroy Microsoft Office.
The Individual tiers will also be available in the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece, and Argentina, among other places. Workspace Individual was first introduced by Google in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Australia, and it was then expanded to six European nations.
