From today, RTX 3080 GeForce Now subscribers will be able to enjoy the new browser gameplay options by choosing 1440p on the GeForce Now online interface.

The RTX 3080 GeForce Now membership tier was first introduced by Nvidia last year, allowing broadcasts up to 1440p quality with 120 frames per second on PCs and Macs or 4K HDR at 60 frames per second on Nvidia’s Shield TV. Prior until this, the web version could only handle 1080p at 60 frames per second, thus you had to download the specific Mac or Windows programs to obtain 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second support.

Due to a significant improvement in latency, support for ray tracing, and the 120fps option, the RTX 3080 tier is still among the top game streaming options out there. GeForce Now is now much more accessible thanks to the expansion of these latency, speed, and resolution improvements to Chrome and Edge, especially on older devices, Chromebooks, and even Xbox consoles that can use the Edge browser to access the service.

Nvidia’s highest RTX 3080 tier is $19.99 per month or $99.99 for a six-month membership (equivalent to roughly $16.66 per month). This week, Nvidia is releasing six new updates to GeForce Now along with this enhanced web version. In addition to the more than 1,300 games now offered on GeForce Now, Thymesia, Century: Age of Ashes, Clanfolk, Coromon, Hypercharge: Unboxed, and Phoenix Point are also included.
